Business consulting and taxation are areas of primary responsibility for Dorothy M. Fowler CPA, who has been a principal in the firm since 1987. After graduation with honors from Corpus Christi State University in 1981, she practiced public accounting locally and was a CCSU instructor and adjunct professor of accounting. She has served as an officer of the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs and the Coastal Bend Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors. She is past president of the Coastal Bend Chapter of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society and is active in other professional and civic organizations.

Robert R. Fox, CPA

Robert R. Fox CPA, a principal in the firm since 1982, assists clients with the full range of tax and business planning issues. One area of concentration is estate and trust income taxation and gift tax matters which generally involve financial planning for an entire family. A 1976 summa cum laude graduate of Texas A&I University at Corpus Christi, he joined the firm in 1977. He has served as an officer of the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs and the Estate Planning Council. He is active in various community organizations.

Rudy Sturgeon, CPA

Rudy Sturgeon CPA became a principal with Fields, Nemec & Co., P.C., in 1997, and is primarily involved with corporate, partnership and individual tax matters. Prior to joining the firm in 1989, he practiced for four years in the Laredo office of a national accounting firm. He is a 1984 accounting graduate of Corpus Christi State University and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs. He is a member of the Corpus Christi Estate Planning Council, a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, and has served as a board member and officer in several civic organizations.

Denny Meyer, CPA

Denny Meyer CPA has joined the Fields, Nemec & Co., P.C. ownership team as an audit principal. Meyer joined the company in July 2005, participating in tax and attestation services. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and Rockport-Fulton High School.
